Badger, badger, badger, MUSHROOM!

I’m a mushroom fanatic. As previously mentioned, my greengrocer has the most amazing stock of mushrooms. Clapham South farmer’s market is great for fresh produce, but it lacked in variety. When I first moved to the Streatham Hill I almost wept with joy upon seeing the weird and wonderful varieties. So when I saw the recipie for Portobello Mushroom Pizzas my brain degenerated into, “Mushroom…pizza…SEEK…COOK…DESTROY!”

I thought the recipie in itself needed a little zuzhing up a bit (as according to the recipie, it would have been mushrooms, salsa, pine nuts, parmezan cheese), I decided to add some garlic and oregano.

It took only 12 minutes, but in that time the entire flat was filled with a delicious mushroom/garlic aroma. I had them with some turkey, but on their own with some freshly baked brown bread would have been devine.

My boyfriend took this picture. He wasn’t impressed with my recent shots of just taking a snap then serving up. He believes in making things presentable and lovely. He’s like a little cleaner fish.
