Food: mini breakfast quiches

Lessons learned: read the instructions. I was so excited about throwing everything into the blender, I did just that. Then I realised I had added the salsa when I wasn’t supposed to, however I don’t think this had an impact on the overall product. I was suprised to see cinnamon on the ingredients list, but it added a nice undertone to the dish without being too overpowering.


Despite my cack-handedness in the kitchen, the quiches were delicious. I used gruyere cheese, which added smooth, nutty flavour to them. They lost their oomph quite quickly once out of the oven, the book said to expect this, so I wasn’t too surprised. In terms of their size, they were handy to eat in little bitesize portions, but I’m tempted to try them out in the larger tray to see how they fare.
